Bike Club

Bike Clubs being developed across England Work with young people - voluntarily, paid, engaging. Whether extending your logbook, building your experience portfolio, helping your local community or being paid, Bike Club has something to offer everyone involved in cycling and mountain biking.

An inspirational programme that aims to build cycling into the daily lives of children, young people and their families, Bike Club is made up of three partners, CTC, ContinYou and UK Youth, with coverage is through England currently, with expansion lined up into Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Each of the current 18 locations are looking for various cycling activity providers to support their programmes in road cycling, bikeability, mountain biking, BMX, all abilities/disability access and maintenance. These each run via a network of local development officers co-ordinating new and existing clubs and groups.

The project has been in existance for a few short months, and is already starting to have an impact with significant take up across all areas and social circumstances. More projects and areas of work are in development due to the fluid nature of the young peoples environment and demands.

If you are a qualified leader or instructor and think that you may be able to help, whether on a voluntary or paid basis, please contact your local Bike Club Officer with details of your particular skills, areas of experience and qualifications. They can then get you involved immediately, or add you to their bank of resources for projects in development.

See more on the project.
