Venue details
Glyncornel is the home of Rhondda Cynon Taff’s outdoor education team. Working with young people on residential and single day learning and development through outdoor and environmental opportunities, the centre serves a wide variety of users including corporate and adult courses.
Nestled between a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) and an environmental park, in the deep Welsh Valleys the locale is stunning. The riding either from the door, or a short drive away is equally fantastic and really makes the most of the open valleys and local forests.
Recently refurbished, Glyncornel provides self-catering facilities, with shared rooms along with excellent classroom areas, bike storage and lounge areas.
Just north of Cardiff in the Welsh Valleys, Glyncornel is in the heart of true Welsh Valleys mountain biking. It is easily accessible from the M4 and from mid Wales.
Food and Accommodation
Multi day courses at Glyncornel are either half board residential or non-residential. Half board residential includes shared room accommodation, breakfast and packed lunch. Evening meals can be a choice of self catered, take away or eating out (usually our choice) at one of the local hostelries, all at your own cost.
Non-residential doesn't provide any food or accommodation for the duration of the course.
Single day courses at Glyncornel don't include accommodation, but we are usually able to offer an additional half board residential cost which includes overnight shared room accommodation, breakfast and a packed lunch.
