- Recording protocols, tools and techniques
- Three trail checking rota
- What to look for on the trail: corridor; surfacing; visibility; signage
- Identifying locations
- Management and verification requirements

Entry requirements
Prior to attending this course, you will have completed either:
- Fundamentals course (for use in non-technical environmentals) or
- Fundamentals and Technical Areas courses (for trail checking in non-technical and tecnhical environments)
Progression routes
This course can be used as supporting evidence and training towards the Trail Leader Award.
